Product description
Battery-powered chainsaw Högert Technik HT2E290-0CS218V was designed for efficient wood cutting in home and garden conditions, wherever mobility and independence from mains power matter. The tool operates using two 18 V batteries from the OneAccuSystem platform, which translates into stable power and longer runtime under load.
The guide bar of 1 inch (approx. 40 cm) allows efficient cutting of firewood, trimming branches and performing tidy-up work around the property. The saw uses a chain with a 3/8" (9.5 mm) pitch, providing a good balance between cutting speed and tool control.
The HT2E290-0CS218V model offers three chain speed modes: 15 m/s, 25 m/s and AUTO mode, which automatically adjusts the speed to the current load. This solution allows precise matching of operating parameters to the type of wood and cutting conditions.
The saw is equipped with an automatic chain lubrication system with a separate oil tank with a capacity of 180 ml, which reduces wear of cutting elements and improves operating performance. Integrated safety systems – chain brake, run-out brake and trigger lock – increase user safety during operation.
Chain brake and run-out brake – what they are and how they differ?
Chain brake: This is a mechanical safety device whose purpose is to immediately stop the cutting chain in dangerous situations. It is activated: manually – by pushing the handguard (most often during kickback), automatically – in the event of a sudden kickback of the saw. The chain brake operates independently of the motor and is intended to protect the operator from injury in case of a sudden, uncontrolled reaction of the tool.
Run-out brake: The run-out brake is responsible for quickly stopping the chain after releasing the trigger. When the throttle is released the motor is cut off from power, and the braking system reduces the time during which the chain continues to rotate by inertia. Its purposes are to reduce the risk of accidental contact with a moving chain, improve control of the tool after finishing a cut, and increase comfort and safety at work.
Key difference The chain brake operates as an emergency device and responds to hazardous situations (e.g. kickback). The run-out brake operates during everyday, normal use, shortening the chain stopping time after switching off the tool. Both systems complement each other, providing a high level of safety both in sudden situations and during standard saw operation.
Battery and charger sold separately.
