In such work accuracy is important, and heating the soldering iron tip too quickly to too high a temperature could even damage the electronics. 

Maximum operating temperature

For soldering devices the maximum operating temperature is related to the type of solder you intend to use. For hard solders it will be necessary to use a device with a temperature of at least 400°C. A lower temperature will suffice for soldering integrated circuits and other electronics. If you plan to use the soldering iron for various types of elements, a good solution is to buy a device with temperature control or choose two or more barrel soldering irons. In fact, these tools are not very expensive, and having several options gives greater accuracy of operation.
