Safety systems: Chain brake - a mechanical safety system that immediately stops the chain in case of kickback (so-called kickback) or when the hand guard is manually activated. Run-out brake - an electronic system that stops the chain after the trigger is released, shortening its free-run time. Unlike the chain brake, it does not react to kickback but increases safety during normal operation, e.g. when putting the saw down or changing position between cuts. The difference between the systems: chain brake → emergency protection, reacting to kickback or manual activation, run-out brake → operational protection, shortening the chain stop time after releasing the trigger.
